The Super Eagles drew 1-1 with South Africa’s Bafana Bafana at the Uyo stadium on Friday evening.
Jerrymusa.com reports that the game started slow-paced, with the Eagles dominating possession and pushing passes into the Visitors’ half.
Both sides missed notable chances in the first half, and the game remained goalless for the first 25 minutes until Zwane scored in the 29th minute, giving the Bafana Bafana the lead.
Eagles Bounce Back
The Super Eagles tried getting an equalizer before the end of the first half, sending in several passes into the South African half, but couldn’t score.
Earlier in the second half, the Nigerian team kept composure on the attack and found a goal in the 46th minute with a beautiful strike from Dele-Bashiru to level for the Eagles.
The Eagles must now win the subsequent game against Benin to secure their place in the next world cup.
