Kano Pillars players in their team bus were attacked on the road on their way to Uyo for their next game against Akwa United.
Jerrymusa.com reports that the gunmen, however, rejected all the money and expensive belongings of the players, as they just wanted Rabiu Ali’s shirt and autograph.
The Gunmen Didn’t Hurt Anyone
Sources say that after getting the shirt from the legend, they apologised for stopping the bus and wished the team well ahead of their next match as they bid them farewell.
The footballers and staff on board felt relieved as the gunman left without physically hurting anyone on the bus.
The team is set to resume training for the game against Akwa United on Sunday.
