Super Eagles couldn’t hold on to a second win run as they were overpowered by Mali 2-0 at the Sted de Marrakech stadium on Tuesday evening.

Jerrymusa.com reports that Mali was stronger from the start, dominating their half and pushing through the Nigerian defence to find a goal.

Mali Stronger on The Attack

Mali kept mounting pressure until a silly back pass was intercepted, and Toure scored in the 18th minute to put Mali in front.

Super Eagles kept pushing their luck for an equaliser, but the Mali defence proved difficult to penetrate.

The second half kicked off with Nigeria gaining some momentum on the attack, but Mali kept every advancement from the Eagles at bay.

A through ball was sent into the Nigeria box at the 87th minute, and Doumbia was there to see it through into the post to give the Mali team a solid 2-0 lead.
