City and Liverpool continued their draw run for the second time as the match ended 1-1 and City clung on to take a point at Anfield.

Jerrymusa.com reports that the champions found themselves in an excellent position at half-time after Stones poked home from De Bruyne’s corner, but they made a nightmare start to the second period as Ake’s poor back pass led to Ederson conceding a penalty for a foul on Nunez.

Allister Steps Up For Liverpool

Mac Allister stepped up to make it 1-1 before Ederson was forced off injured, and from there, Liverpool laid siege to the City goal.

Diaz and Nunez spurned their best chances, though City hit the woodwork twice against the run of play through Foden and Doku.

Ultimately, both teams have to settle for a draw, though Liverpool might question why they weren’t awarded another spot-kick deep into stoppage time when Doku appeared to catch Mac Allister with a high boot.

Arsenal are the big winners, remaining top of the table due to their goal difference advantage over Liverpool, with City one point further back! That’s all from Anfield.
