The Super Eagles of Nigeria have been placed in Group D for the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) qualifiers, alongside Benin Republic, Rwanda, and Libya. The draw, held in South Africa on Thursday, divided 48 countries into 12 groups of four teams each.
“The top two teams from each group, except for Group B, will qualify directly for the finals,” said a tournament official. The finals will be held in Morocco from December 21, 2025, to January 18, 2026.
Jerrymusa.com reports that as the host nation, Morocco “will automatically qualify for the finals, along with one other team from Group B,” the official added. The qualifying matches will take place during the FIFA windows in September, October, and November this year.
