Not less than 11 persons reportedly died and 7 injured in a car accident which occurred in the early hours of Tuesday along Jebba/Ilorin Express road.

The accident involved two vehicles: a DAF Truck and an 18-passenger Toyota Hiace bus.

The cause of the accident

According to the Federal Road Safety Corps, the accident happened as a result of wrongful overtaking and speed violation by one of the vehicles.
