The US military has shot down five drones of the Houthi rebels from Yemen’s Ansar Allah movement, the US Central Command (CENTCOM) reported.
Jerrymusa.com reports that the military claimed in a statement on its X page that “on February 27, US aircraft and a coalition warship shot down five Iranian-backed Houthi one-way attack (OWA) unmanned aerial vehicles (UAV) in the Red Sea.”
US Continued Assault
The Ansar Allah (Houthi) movement declared that it would launch attacks on Israeli territory and prevent pro-Israeli ships from crossing the Red Sea and the Bab el-Mandeb Strait until Tel Aviv stopped its military operation in the Palestinian enclave, as the conflict in the Gaza Strip got worse.
Since mid-November of last year, the Houthis have assaulted many civilian vessels in the Red Sea and Gulf of Aden.
