Two people were killed and seven injured in a shooting that happened at a bar near downtown Miami, the United States, early Saturday morning.

According to USA Today, the Miami-Dade Police Department received a complaint about 3:30 a.m. on Saturday regarding a brawl that had occurred at the Martini Bar located in the CityPlace centre in Doral.

A Responding Officer Neutralises The Suspects

According to authorities, a security guard located the culprit and attempted to defuse the situation.

According to a press conference conducted by the Miami Dade Police Department, the suspect then shot and murdered the security guard and was later killed by a responding police officer.

Jerrymusa.com reports that Miami-Dade Police Detective Alvaro Zabaleta reported during the conference that at least six individuals—five men and one woman—acquired gunshot wounds during the gunfire exchange, in addition to another officer.

Additionally, Zabaleta stated that four victims were in serious condition after being transferred to trauma centres, while two victims were stable.

“As of right now, we are aware that two officers from the City of Doral Police Department have fired their weapons, but as I previously stated, only one person has been hurt by gunfire,” Zabaleta stated.

“To obtain all the information, the Florida Department of Law Enforcement is still speaking with all of the witnesses present.”

The cause of the altercation is being investigated by investigators.
