Russia Shoots Down Ukrainian Drone Along Saratov Region

Russian air defences have shot down a fixed-wing Ukrainian drone above the country’s Saratov Region in the Volga Area in the early hours of Wednesday.

“Earlier today, a fixed-wing drone effort by the Kiev authorities to stage a terrorist strike against Russian installations was thwarted,” the Russian Defence Ministry said.

Russian On-duty Air Defense at Work

Jerrymusa.com reports that an unmanned aerial vehicle from Ukraine was taken out above the Saratov Region by on-duty air defences, according to the ministry.

Roman Busargin, the governor of the area, stated on Telegram that there had been no harm done by the drone.

“There were no recorded injuries or damages to populous regions’ infrastructure. Every facility is running normally,” he stated in a release.
