King Charles’ funeral plans are already set amid his battle with pancreatic cancer.
Jerrymusa.com reports that though he has been the British monarch for only 18 months, following his ascension to the throne on May 6, 2023, plans have been laid out for the eventual demise of King Charles III.
Operation London Bridge was launched following the death of Queen Elizabeth II to ensure a seamless handover of power to her son, Prince Charles, at the time.
King Charles Deteriorating Health
Royal insiders told In Touch that Prince Charles’ ultimate resting intentions are a matter of timely prioritisation as his disease continues to worsen.
The plans are called “Operation Menai Bridge,” after Anglesey, Wales, home of the first iron suspension bridge in history.
The report states that although it is a pretty regular practice among British royalty, in Charles’ case expediency is required and that “some courtiers believe Charles’ cancer is worse than they’re making it out to be.”
“Operation Menai Bridge” will follow well-known procedures. Charles’ body will be removed from the throne room at Buckingham Palace upon the death of the monarch “to Westminster Hall.
Nine days later, there will be an official funeral, and he will lie in state. He’ll probably be laid to rest at Windsor Castle’s royal vault.
The news was released soon after a different, high-ranking royal insider informed In Touch that Charles only had two years to live in addition to fighting pancreatic cancer—a timely revelation considering that he previously withheld his cancer diagnosis.
A member of the royal inner circle disclosed in early March that “King Charles is much sicker than the palace lets on and simply isn’t up to the job of running his fractious family, the crown’s business interests, and fulfilling the daily duties of the monarchy.”
“He is being eaten alive by his cancer. He’s very frail. The situation is desperate.”
It is reported that Charles’ weakening health and status have even annoyed Queen Camilla.
Early in March, a palace courtier informed In Touch, “Behind the scenes, Camilla is disgusted by the king’s apparent weakness and is providing him little comfort as he battles his fatal cancer.”
In February, King Charles III’s cancer diagnosis was declared by Buckingham Palace. Since the disease was discovered during an operation to address the British monarch’s benign prostate enlargement, there were rumours that the type of cancer was prostate cancer. Charles does not, as a royal spokesman explained, have prostate cancer.
According to the high-ranking royal insider who talked to In Touch, Charles is currently suffering from pancreatic cancer and has been given a short time to live.
