Ondo cabinet crisis , Akeredolu Sacks deputy media aides

Ondo Cabinet Crisis Deepens as the state cabinet is experiencing difficulty just one week after Ondo State Governor Rotimi Akeredolu returned from a medical stay abroad. As of press time, specifics of the problem were unknown, but individuals familiar with the situation claimed that the question at hand was whether the Deputy Governor, Lucky Aiyedatiwa, was loyal to his principal or not.

According to Jerrymusa.com, the issue is causing discord between Akeredolu and his deputy.
The deputy’s media assistants, who were charged with fanning the flames of discord between Akeredolu and his deputy, were, however, fired by the governor. As a result, all of the media assistants working for the office of the Deputy Governor of Ondo State were let go on Tuesday.

Media Staff affected

This was said in a statement made on Tuesday by Richard Olatunde, the governor’s chief press secretary.
The impacted staff members include the governor’s press secretary, Kenneth Odusola; his special assistant for new media, Okunniga Oladipupo; and his special assistant for photography, Abayomi Samson Adefolalu, according to the statement.

All media assistants appointed by Ondo State Governor Arakunrin Oluwarotimi Akeredolu, SAN, CON, and seconded to the deputy governor’s office, were discharged from their positions immediately, according to the statement. They must turn over all government property they have to the Office of the Deputy Governor’s Acting Permanent Secretary. In a similar vein, the press team assigned to the deputy governor’s office has been abolished. As a result, each member of the press team must return to their respective ministries and stations.

Alleged reason for Firing Media Aides

Additionally, it is mandated that the Ministry of Information and Orientation must adequately cover the duties of the deputy governor’s office. Our Correspondent learned that the deputy governor’s fired media aides were involved in certain traitorous deeds against the governor. The staffers were fired as a result of insubordination and blatant contempt for proper authority, according to a trustworthy source in the government.

One of the fired aides openly disparaged the governor on his WhatsApp status, and the screenshot is in the governor’s possession, the source claimed. The government’s discontent is being brought on by the deputy governor’s media assistants. They are the ones claiming that Aiyedatiwa will serve until the end of Akeredolu’s term. They appeared to want the governor dead. “One of them was looked into, and it was discovered that he had planted some rumours against the governor.”

Aiyedatiwa, meanwhile, reiterated his allegiance to Akeredolu, his superior and the state governor, on Tuesday. Aiyedatiwa claimed that several recent rumours concerning his alleged disloyalty to his boss were untrue and intended to sour relations between him and the governor. This was said by the deputy governor on Tuesday in a statement delivered by his media assistant, Kenneth Odusola-Stevenson. The statement was headed, “The blackmailers are at it again,” and it was made against the deputy governor of Ondo State.

A Political Blackmail

In the statement, it is claimed that anonymous organisations and persons in the state circulated the rumours in order to damage his reputation for political purposes. “We must remind the public that this is a continuation of the blackmail initiated by these same individuals several months ago, with false stories planted in some media outlets against the deputy governor,” the statement stated. Since those lies did not have the desired outcome, the blackmailers have returned with fabricated allegations of disloyalty in an effort to sour relations between him and the governor.

These anonymous people, who have been covering their identities because the information they are disseminating is entirely false, are supported by those who feel threatened by the deputy governor’s reputation, his connection with his employer, and the popularity he enjoys with the populace.Despite everything his opponents did to pressure him into adopting extreme measures, many stakeholders have praised the deputy governor for the way he managed state business while he was Acting Governor.

They fell on their own banana peels as a result of him avoiding their booby traps. The statement further stated that there was no communication chasm between the deputy governor and his principal about official state matters. “Now that Mr Governor is back and working, the deputy governor is unfazed by the deceitful claims made by desperate politicians and their proxies and is calm and committed to his tasks. No amount of fabrications will alter the deputy governor’s loyalty to his principal, according to the declaration provided.
