Operatives of the Lagos State Traffic Management Authority (LASTMA) have arrested three notorious ‘one chance’ armed robbers around Abule-Egba area by Jubilee Bridge In Lagos

An issued press release by the Director, Public Affairs and Enlightenment Department of LASTMA Mr. Adebayo Taofiq confirmed that the robbers were arrested by LASTMA personnel together with the vehicle they use for operation; a painted ‘T4’ commercial bus (APP 406 YE) around U-turn area of Abule-Egba.

One escapes with a P.O.S machine

One of them escaped with a P.O.S machine immediately after they were arrested before the arrival of the policemen.

jerrymusa.com reports that these notorious ‘one-chance’ armed robbers have been terrorising the entire Abule-Egba and its environs.

Further investigation revealed that they have been once chased by members of the public when noticing they pushed down a man from their vehicle after collecting all his valuables.

Robbers now in police custody

The two arrested robbers were later handed over to the Police men in ‘Ile-Epo’ Police Division for further investigation.

The General Manager of LASTMA Mr Bakare Oki Olalekan has appealed to members of the public particularly commuters to be very careful and vigilant adding that they should stop boarding commercial buses by road side popularity known as  ‘So-le.’
