Japa: Police Arrest Man For Allegedly Attempting to Sell Boss’ Car to Fund Relocation

A guy who tried to sell his company’s automobile to acquire money to move his family to Ghana has been taken into custody by the Lagos State police.

Jerrymusa.com reports that the arrest was verified by the Command’s public relations officer, SP Benjamin Hundeyin, to the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) on Tuesday.

Toyota Hilux Was Stolen

According to Hundeyin, the State Criminal Investigation Department received information about a Toyota Hilux car that was allegedly taken on January 16 at around 1:00 p.m.

A group of investigators moved quickly after receiving the information.

 

“During the investigation, the aforementioned vehicle was tracked down and found at Ilukogun village, which is the border between Lagos State and Ogun,” the speaker stated.

According to the PRP, the car was found belonging to Arthur Benjamin in the aforementioned village.

After being apprehended, the suspect admitted to stealing the car from his place of employment, selling it, and fleeing to Ghana with his family.

“An investigation is currently underway to potentially apprehend additional members of his gang,” he declared.
