Defense Forces have given the residents of the Gaza Strip 6 hours to evacuate to the south of the enclave through a humanitarian corridor, Israeli army spokesman Avihai Edri said.
“Gaza residents, I inform you that today the Israel Defense Forces are once again allowing traffic on the Salah al-Din Road to the south [of the enclave] from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. (8.00 a.m. to 2 p.m. GMT – TASS). Yesterday, 50,000 people left the northern parts of the Gaza Strip, all of them heading south.
“we extended the time the humanitarian corridor will stay open,” he wrote on social network X (formerly Twitter) in Arabic.
“Time is running out for evacuation from the north of Gaza, as the area is an active war zone,” Edri recalled.
According to jerrymusa.com Israel has already announced several times over the past week the opening of a corridor for the evacuation of residents from the northern Gaza Strip, where the fiercest clashes with Hamas are taking place, to the south, where humanitarian aid is being delivered.
According to Tassnews as a rule, the passage to the southern areas is opened for 3-4 hours.
