Israel-hamas crisis: Qatar Emir urges Israel to end conflict

Qatar’s Emir Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani has asked Israel to stop its frequent bombardments of the Gaza Strip. In response to the terror incident carried out by armed Hamas terrorists in Israel more than two weeks ago,

According to jerrymusa.com the emir addressed Israel during the Shura Council’s first session on Tuesday in Doha, saying, “Enough is enough.”

The emir reportedly stated that it is unacceptable to give Israel an “unrestricted go-ahead and a free license to kill.”

He asserted that it was impossible to overlook the Israeli “occupation, siege, and settlement”.

In the modern era, it should also be forbidden to deny a population access to food, medicine, or water as a kind of population control.

Vanguardngr reports that although there are no diplomatic links between Qatar and Israel, it maintains tight contacts with the group in charge of the Gaza Strip.

The October 7 Hamas attack resulted in the kidnapping of more than 200 people, including citizens of numerous countries.

Four of the hostages held by Hamas in Gaza have been freed, thanks in part to Qatari mediation.

In 1996, Qatar launched a commercial mission with Israel; however, the emirate eventually disbanded it.

But during the World Cup, Qatar permitted direct flights from Israel.

The Emir declared that the carnage must end and that people must be protected from the fallout from military clashes.
