Federal Government represented by Vice President Kashim Shettima On Friday, said that President Bola Tinubu had given the go-ahead for the building of 1,000 homes in the states of Sokoto, Kebbi, Katsina, Zamfara, Kaduna, Niger, and Benue.
Part of the Efforts to Resolve Dispute in the North
Shettima made this statement at the inauguration of projects that the Borno State Government had carried out over the previous 100 days, according to a statement from Mr. Olusola Abiola, Director of Information for the Office of the Vice President. The housing developments, according to the vice president, were a component of a comprehensive federal strategy to resolve disputes in the North.
The Northern States Involved
Shettima further disclosed that Tinubu gave the National Emergency Management Agency N50 billion to launch the Pulaku programme, a non-kinetic response to the situation the people of the northwest were facing. “President Tinubu has approved the construction of 1,000 houses with all ancillary facilities, including schools, clinics, veterinary clinics, and ranches, for the Fulani community in Kaduna and Benue states in Sokoto, Kebbi, Katsina, Zamfara, Kaduna and Niger.

Shettima also disclosed that “President Tinubu insisted that all the victims must be transported along.
The Vice President gave the assurance that President Tinubu’s efforts to advance development would benefit all areas of the nation. Shettima added that the federal government intended to restart the nation’s wheat harvest.

New Projects in Borno state
Among the 77 new projects finished in Zulum’s first 100 days in office, the Vice President inaugurated the Shuwari ll Community School and Healthcare Centre. In the city of Maiduguri, Shettima also started the Alikaramti Community School and the Gamboru Liberty Day Secondary School. At the opening of state government projects completed in less than 100 days, he was applauded by a joyful throng, especially students.
Shettima’s Visit to Borno
Shettima had earlier paid respects at the palace of the Shehu of Borno upon his arrival in Maiduguri.
Senator Abubakar Kyari, the Minister of Agriculture, and a few representatives from the National and State Assemblies were with him. The deputy governors of Borno, Gombe, and Taraba states were also present in the Vice President’s entourage at the palace.
