The Israel Defence Forces (IDF) announced that Ahmed Ali, the commander of Hamas naval unit in Gaza, was killed in a targeted air attack.
Jerrymusa.com reports that IDF stated that Ali, who had been leading Hamas’ naval operations in the Gaza Strip in recent years, was eliminated in a joint operation with the Israeli Security Agency (ISA), based on intelligence from the Israeli Navy and ISA.
Kingpin Responsible For Chain Attacks
According to the IDF, Ali was responsible for attacks on Israeli territory and against IDF ground troops operating in Gaza during the war.
In the week leading up to his death, Ali had been planning and executing terrorist activities against IDF troops operating in central Gaza.
