During their raid on the Al-Shifa hospital in the north of the Gaza Strip, Israeli Army seized approximately $3 million in cash, the Israel Defence Forces (IDF) press service said.
The money was discovered, according to the report, by Israeli army special units.

The press office released a statement saying, “11 million shekels in USD and Jordanian dinars that were earmarked for terrorism were located by the forces during the searches at the hospital.”
In a different scenario, at their checkpoint close to the hospital, Israeli forces searched some 3,700 Gaza residents who were travelling south. They were detained on suspicion of being terrorists—more than 300 of them.
“Among them are dozens of senior terrorists and those with key positions,” the Israel Defence Forces stated.
In addition, the Israeli military oversaw the delivery of 3.8 tonnes of food and water in the form of 1,800 litres of water as well as a gasoline truck to the region.
On October 7, 2023, militants from the radical Palestinian organisation Hamas, which is based in the Gaza Strip, launched an unexpected incursion into Israeli territory, killing many Israeli kibbutz residents who lived close to the Gaza border and kidnapping over 240 Israelis, including women, children, and the elderly. This incident sparked tensions once again in the Middle East.
Israel announced a complete blockade of the Gaza Strip, initiated ground operations against Hamas in the Gaza Strip, and bombarded the enclave as well as certain regions of Lebanon and Syria. West Bank residents have also reported clashes.
