The Israeli army has rescued four Israeli hostages from Hamas militants in a daring operation in Gaza.
Jerrymusa.com reports that the hostages, named as Noa Argamani, Almog Meir Jan, Andrey Kozlov, and Shlomi Ziv, were kidnapped during a attack on October 7.
“The message this morning to Hamas is clear: we are determined to bring back home all the hostages,” said Israeli army spokesman Rear Admiral Daniel Hagari.
Israel’s Gaza Operation
The rescue took place in two separate buildings in a civilian neighborhood, with Israeli forces coming under fire during the operation. The hostages were taken to hospital and are in good medical condition.
“We are overjoyed to have you home,” said Israeli Defence Minister, Yoav Gallant, in a statement.
The rescue mission comes eight months into the conflict with Hamas, and follows intense air and ground assaults in the region. The Israeli military has stated that it is determined to bring home all remaining hostages.
The operation was carried out with precision and skill, with Israeli forces facing fierce resistance from Hamas militants. Despite the challenges, the military was able to rescue the hostages and bring them to safety.
“The rescue mission is a significant success for the Israeli military, and a major blow to Hamas,” said an Israeli military official.
The conflict between Israel and Hamas has resulted in significant loss of life on both sides, with many civilians caught in the crossfire. The rescue mission is a rare piece of good news in an otherwise bleak situation.
“The Israeli military will continue to do everything in its power to bring home all remaining hostages and to protect its citizens from harm,” said the military spokesman.
The rescue mission has been hailed as a heroic act by the Israeli government, and has been celebrated by Israelis across the country.
“The operation is a testament to the bravery and skill of the Israeli military, and a reminder that even in the darkest of times, there is always hope for a positive outcome,” said the Israeli Defence Minister.
