Tehran promised to respond to any new Israeli attack against the Islamic Republic “within seconds,” Iran’s Deputy Foreign Minister Ali Bagheri Kani said.

The senior Iranian official was quoted by the IRNA news agency as saying, “The response that [Israel] is going to receive [this time around] will be measured not in days or hours, but in seconds.”
Iran Accuses Israel of ‘Repeated Crimes’
Kani called the April 1 Israeli strike on the Syrian consulate department of the Iranian embassy a strategic error.
Prior to this, Iranian Foreign Ministry Spokesman Nasser Kanaani declared that Tehran would react to “any illegitimate or irrational measures” against the republic, even if Tehran did not intend to raise Middle East tensions.
Iran responded to what it described as “repeated crimes” by Israel by launching drones and missiles against Israel on the evening of April 13.
