The Pension Transitional Arrangement Directorate (PTAD) has received praise from the House of Representatives Committee on Pensions for its accomplishments since its founding.

Jerrymusa.com reports that while praising the Directorate’s accomplishments, Jallo urged PTAD to put in more effort, stressing that the services the organisation provided were vital to Nigerians.

He said that in the best interests of the pensioners and the nation, the 10th Assembly would assist PTAD in fulfilling its purpose.

Prior to this, Dr. Chioma Ejikeme, the Executive Secretary of PTAD, who welcomed them to the Directorate, listed the accomplishments of the group over time.

She stated that in order to authenticate certified documents, remove a backlog of inherited arrears and complaints, and provide the current ‘I Am Alive Confirmation Solution’, the organisation conducted field verifications around the nation.

As required by the Pension Reform Act of 2014, Ejikeme also provided the committee with an update on the difficulties facing PTAD and the initiatives aimed at enhancing the welfare of retirees under the federal Defined Benefit Scheme (DBS).
