Nigerians can now easily apply for passports online thanks to the Federal Government’s establishment of the passport application portal through the Ministry of Interior.
Jerrymusa.com reports that In December, Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo, the Interior Minister, declared that the Federal Government was striving to establish a completely computerised passport application process for the nation.
The minister indicated at the time that the automated application procedure was “99 percent done,” and that uploading passport images and accompanying documentation will be part of the process.
According to him, Nigerian applicants would have to pay N35,000 for 32-page passports with a five-year validity, and N70,000 for 64-page passports with a 10-year validity.
