The Nigerian Federal Government has approved the listing of Eastwing Aviation Training Institute under the National Board for Technical Education (NBTE). To address the dearth of manpower in the aviation sector.

Jerrymusa.com reports that after meeting the Federal Government’s technical requirements, the Eastwing Aviation Training Institute can now admit students through the Joint Admission and Matriculation Board (JAMB).

Once students complete their studies, they will be awarded a national diploma or high national diploma.

Opportunity For Young People

Dr. Christopher Edeh, the founder and CEO of Eastwing Aviation, encouraged young people to take advantage of the opportunity provided by the institution to achieve their dreams of becoming pilots, aviation engineers, cabin crew, or other roles in the sector.

“He noted that this approval means that every young person now has the opportunity to explore this field, even if it means just coming to the institute for advice.

“Dr. Edeh, who served in the Nigerian Air Force, said it has been his desire to give back to society, and this achievement brings him closer to his dream. He also acknowledged the support of his former colleagues who worked with him on this project.”

The Eastwing Aviation Institute has also established a non-governmental organization to support less privileged young people who are talented and meet the basic requirements but cannot afford to pursue their dreams.

Dr. Edeh hopes that this new development will encourage many young people to explore careers in aviation, as there are many areas in this field where they can fit in.

“He gave an example of a security personnel he worked with who was talented and hardworking, and with encouragement, is now an aircraft maintenance engineer in one of the airlines.”
