The Super Falcons of Nigeria, on Monday, beat Cameroon 1-0 at the Moshood Abiola Stadium, Abuja, to progress to the next round of the Paris Olympic 2024 Qualifier.

Jerrymusa.com reports that they  Nigerian side put up a fantastic performance during the first half, dominating possession and pressuring the Cameroonian defence.

Early Goal for Nigeria

The first goal came in the 15th minute when Okoronkwo scored with a superb strike to put the Falcons ahead.

Both teams continued testing their defence in the second half but couldn’t get a goal, Cameroon kept the pressure on the Nigeriandefencee but couldn’t get a goal.

The match ended at 1-0 at Abuja. Nigeria is now set to face South Africa in their next round of the Paris Olympic Qualifier.

Recall that Nigeria had held Cameroon to a goalless draw in Yaounde a few days back. The victory in Abuja gives the African heavyweights a 1-0 aggregate passage into the next round of qualifiers.
