President Bola Tinubu has approved the appointment of Mr. Gbenga Alade as Chief Executive Officer of the Asset Management Corporation of Nigeria. Ahmed Kuru, who took office in August 2015, is succeeded by Alade.
“The nominations were made public in a statement signed by Special Advisor to the President on Media and Publicity, Ajuri Ngelale, on Thursday.”
Tinubu Names New Appointee
The statement read, “President Tinubu appoints a new AMCON management team.” In addition, Tinubu named the other three executive directors, subject to the Nigerian Senate’s ratification. “They are Lucky Adaghe, Adeshola Lamidi, and Aminu Ismail.
“Ngelale states that the President anticipates “unwavering commitment, expertise, and obedience from the new appointees to guarantee that AMCON’s operations are more effective, transparent, and in line with his resolve to purify the country’s financial system to optimise value and bolster investor trust in the Nigerian economy.”
According to Ngelale, the President expects “unflagging dedication, professionalism, and dutifulness from the new appointees so as to ensure that the operations of AMCON are more efficient, transparent, and in consonance with his determination to sanitise the nation’s financial system to maximise value and enhance investor confidence in the Nigerian economy.”
