Nigerian Politician Dies While Watching Super Eagles vs. Bafana Match

A former member of the House of Representatives who represented the Ika Federal Constituency in Delta State and a chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Cairo Ojuogboh, is dead.

Jerrymusa.com Reports that a family source reports that Ojuogboh passed away on Wednesday night while watching South Africa vs. Nigeria in the AFCON 2023 semifinal.

Cairo Slumps Due to Shock

In the closing moments of the match at the Stade de la Paix in Bouake, he allegedly fell to the ground as South Africa was given a penalty.

Nigeria emerged victorious in a 4-2 penalty shootout, sending the Super Eagles to the AFCON 2023 championship match against the host nation, Cote d’Ivoire.

 

Additionally, Ojuogboh served as the Niger Delta Development Commission’s (NDDC) executive director in the past.
