Victor Osimhen has been passed fit to lead Nigeria’s line against South Africa on Wednesday.

Jerrymusa.com reports that the team medics passed a clean bill of health on the combative forward, after he was placed on observation, following a minor abdominal problem.

Osimhen, a Key Player in The Team

Recall that Osimhen has been wreaking havoc on opponents’ defence lines since the beginning of the AFCON competition. He has scored a goal and also created a few chances on the frontline.

Osimhen also scored a beautiful header that was disallowed by the Video Assistant Referee (VAR) in their last AFCON encounter against Angola.

Nigeria will trade tackles with South Africa in the semi-final of the ongoing AFCON on Wednesday. Kick-off: 6pm Nigerian Time.

Osimhen had been a big doubt for Nigeria’s semifinal clash with the Bafana Bafana of South Africa, after complaining of abdominal discomfort and couldn’t travel with the rest of the team on Monday.

He had been under close watch with a member of the medical team staying behind in Abidjan with him.
