EFL Cup: Newcastle trashes Manchester united 3-0 at Old Trafford

Manchester United struggled again, losing 3-0 to Newcastle in the EFL Cup match on Wednesday night at Old Trafford.

Newcastle has proven their dominance after eliminating Premier League giant Manchester City from the EFL Cup with a 1-0 win. Manchester United have been struggling with keeping their form lately after losing 3-0 to Manchester City in their last EPL encounter.

According to jerrymusa.com Newcastle scored an opener 28 minutes into the game with Almiron’s beautiful strike to give the visitors a lead. Shortly after, in the 36th minute, Lewis Hall doubled the lead for Newcastle to make the score 2-0 at halftime.

Newcastle kept mounting pressure on the home side, which led to another goal in the 60th minute by Willock to seal victory for the visiting side and qualify them for the next round of the EFL Cup.
