One dies, and four others injured as church building collapse in benue

According to reports, a man who was allegedly the pastor of Dunamis Church, which is located in Mission Ward North Bank in Makurdi, the capital of Benue State, died on Monday when the church structure fell.According to jerrymusa.com four additional people who were reportedly praying with the pastor inside the church, according to an eyewitness, were injured to varying degrees as the structure collapsed on them.

“We rushed to the location in an effort to rescue them as soon as we heard the building collapse,” he claimed. Before we could rescue the victims, it took some time.

Meanwhile, the eyewitness who went by the name Nath said to our correspondent that “four people were injured, and one person, whom we later understood to be the pastor, was found dead. Bartholomew Onyeka, the state’s commissioner of police, confirmed the event to reporters on Tuesday.

“Something like that occurred, and only one person perished as a result,” he stated.”You know what happens to the victims right away when debris falls on them like that.

Punch reports that those who arrived quickly were able to save four individuals; regrettably, one person passed away. The patients, who were brought to a hospital, are responding to treatment there, he said.
