Jimmy Butler Show for Miami Heat

It was Jimmy Butler’s night all the way. He led Miami Heat with 27 points and 10 assists. He wasn’t the only star of the night for the Miami Heat though. Bam Adebayo also chipped in with healthy 23 points and 13 rebounds that played an integral role in constituting the Heat’s victory over the Knicks.

The Heat also got massive contributions from Max Strus scored (16 points), Kyle Lowry (15 points), and Caleb Martin (10 points).

Miami Heat: A Sublime Show Again

Miami Heat kept an upper hand right throughout Game 4 as New York Knicks could never enjoy a lead. The best they could do was to draw level with the Heat.

Heat coach Erik Spoelstra was all praise for his unpredictable side. He stated, “It was great that we were able to hold home court. But we know we have a task in New York.”

With this victory under his belt, Erik Spoelstra became only the third coach in the history of the NBA to secure 103 playoff wins with one team. Gregg Popovich tops the list with 170 wins with San Antonio Spurs, followed by Phil Jackson with 118 victories (Los Angeles Lakers) and 111 wins (Chicago Bulls).

NBA Eastern Conference SF Game 5

Game 5 is scheduled on Wednesday night, and New York’s gorgeous Madison Square Garden will host the two incredible NBA sides.

Talking about the prospects of completing the job in Game 5, hero of the night for the Heat, Jimmy Butler said, “We’ve got a job to do, and I think we’re very capable.”

Miami Heat: Rewriting History Books

Miami Heat have been quite unpredictable this season up to this point. Now, they have become a team that’s rewriting the history books.

The Heat are now only the fourth 8th-seeded team in the 40-season history of the current NBA playoff format to win at least seven games in the postseason. In 1999, New York Knicks won 12 games on their way to the NBA Finals. In 2012, Memphis Grizzlies won seven games whereas the Philadelphia 76ers won seven in 2012 to become the earlier three eighth-seeded teams to achieve this record.

New York Knicks: Not Enough Individual Performances

Jalen Brunson was superhot for New York Knicks with a staggering number of 32 points and 11 assists. However, the fifth-seeded Knicks got no real contributions from other players. The nearest best came from RJ Barrett with 24 points and Julius Randle with 20 points.

Knicks are not Done Yet: Thibodeau

New York Knicks coach Tom Thibodeau was in no mood to let it go just yet. He told an interviewer after the game 4, “You’ve got to win four to win a series. So, all we’re thinking about is winning the next game. Go quarter by quarter. Win the first quarter, win the second quarter, win the third, win the fourth. And then the next day we’ll think about the next day.”

All eyes are set on the Big Wednesday night when Miami Heat will take on New York Knicks in their backyard for a chance to seal the series. The Knicks will go all-out to give themselves another chance to reverse the momentum. Stay tuned to JerryMusa.com for more updates on the 2023 NBA season.
