Following the Britney Spears Drug Addiction news that recently went viral, concerns have arisen surrounding the pop icon as her erratic social media outbursts have raised alarm among her fans. Now, Kevin Federline, her ex-husband and father of their two sons, Preston (17) and Jayden (16), has expressed his deep concerns, admitting to living in constant fear of receiving a devastating phone call announcing her demise. He and the children are desperate for Britney to seek help.

Jerrymusa.com reports that, in an interview with documentary-maker Daphne Barak, Kevin shared his anxieties, stating, “I fear she’s on meth—I’ve been praying someone would make it public and that she wakes up. It’s terrifying. She is the mother of my boys. Every time the telephone rings, I fear that there will be devastating news. I don’t want the boys to wake up one morning and find their mother has taken an overdose.”

Daphne Barak, who has been working on a documentary involving Kevin, Britney’s children, her parents, and her brother for the past nine months, revealed in a piece for the Mail on Sunday newspaper that the boys refuse to meet with their 41-year-old mother due to their alleged sighting of drugs being delivered to her house. Preston expressed their plea, saying, “All we want is for her to listen to us.”

Adding to the concerns, Britney’s father, Jamie Spears, worries that his daughter’s life may follow a tragic path similar to that of the late British singer Amy Winehouse, who died at the age of 27. When discussing Amy, he remarked, “Yes, yes, exactly… Britney may die like Amy.” Despite facing criticism from Britney’s fans for his role in overseeing her conservatorship for 13 years until November 2021, Jamie maintains that he was acting in his daughter’s best interests. He compared her state of well-being then with her current situation.

In the wake of the Britney Spears drug addiction, earlier this year, reports emerged of an upcoming intervention orchestrated by Jodi Montgomery, Britney’s former conservator who had remained on her team at the singer’s request. However, the intervention failed to materialize, and Britney took to Instagram to deny its existence.

Daphne Barak, who was present during the events, shed light on the situation, saying, “Jodi had told Kevin to prepare his boys for what was about to happen. He was filming with me when the moment came. I watched him nervously, glued to his phone as he waited for a text from Jodi to say the intervention was underway. But no text ever came—only a message to say that Jodi had resigned.

When rumors of it emerged online, Britney went on Instagram and denied the story—claiming there had been no such plan. But I was there. In reality, she had been alerted, and the scheme fell apart.” A concerned relative confided in Daphne, stating, “This was the last chance of saving her.”

Although Preston and Jayden have engaged in “good conversations” with their mother over the phone, they are not yet ready to visit her. They recounted past instances of erratic behavior, including Britney’s insistence on bathing them when they were 11 and 12 years old, as well as an incident where they discovered her standing near their youngest brother’s bedroom door, clutching a knife.

The family remains deeply concerned for Britney’s well-being and hopes that she will accept the help they believe she needs to overcome her challenges.

Jayden said: “She was standing there with a knife.” On her part, Daphne noted: “The boys are doing their best to focus on their future. It is clear that they feel powerless to intervene in their mother’s life.

“Their only power is to stay away, hoping that one day she will understand their reasons and they can repair their relationship.”

As the situations surrounding the Britney Spears drug addiction remain in the balance, her fans and indeed the music family can’t wait to hear the news of her full recovery.
